Forgot to set alarm :/ woke up at 7:14. Scramble to make sure I get to the clinic super early to be the first one. I have a 9:30am morning meeting at work and traffic from the clinic to work at this hour will be a nightmare!
Arrive at clinic at 7:44. The doors are open! Good morning Brenda. It doesn't look like the Lab Corp blood people are here yet. So I wait.
8:10- 2 other women in waiting room plus a couple. I get called in!
Blood work done but some confusion about whether I need an ultrasound or not. I remember her saying blood work only. I leave concerned that my blood work has the right name on it :/
I get to work just before 9am and squeezed in a Starbucks run :D No judging.
At lunch- DH and I take a walk and create what numbers we want for my estrogen levels today. I say 1700 pg/ml. That would be a solid number: not too much or too little of a jump from yesterday's 1352 pg/ml.
I keep checking my phone throughout the work day but no call from the clinic.... At 4:50, I decide to call the IVF nurse but I keep getting this weird signal on the phone. I try calling again and it keeps happening and I can't get through. DH shows up at my office as I'm getting I try the clinic again. I tell him that I think the clinic phone is out of order when he starts laughing at me. Apparently it was a busy signal. I hadn't heard it in so long it didn't sound right. Who doesn't have call waiting anymore?
DH and I take off together and just as we get to the car Carla, another IVF nurse, calls! My estrogen is at 1668 pg/ml, which she says is a good jump. YEY! and it's just what where we wanted it to be.
They're keeping the meds the same: 400 Follistim, 300 Menopur, and a Ganerilix. They want to see me tomorrow for blood work and an ultrasound. She says "8am - 9:30" but I'm confused because I thought they didn't open until 9:30 on Tuesdays. Apparently that changed??? I'm happy anyway because that made me CRAY to miss that much work if I had to go in on a Tuesday.
Shots go smoothly. I prep the them and DH injects. We're getting pretty darn good at this... Sadly.
